Memorizing the Quran is built upon two things:
1) Revising what you already know
2) Memorizing new Surahs
If you lack consistency in either one over a long period of time, it leads to the cycle of stopping, starting, and stopping again. So I'll cover methods I used consistent, memorize 200+ pages of Quran, and stop forgetting surahs.
Shaytan does his best to put roadblocks in this Hifz journey.
"I don't need anyone to help me"
"I have so many other things to do after work"
"I'm going to fail school if I don't study"
Shaytan will do anything to put Quran at the bottom of your list. But when you have someone holding you accountable, it can make the difference between someone who becomes Hafiz and someone who stays stuck.
Even though the most important parts of becoming a Hafiz are consistency and accountability, techniques play a role in how quickly you're able to memorize new Surahs and how you can avoid forgetting ones you know. I'll show you the techniques I found most helpful to memorize 200+ pages so far.
